No, it's not a mistake. It's intentional to protect your stones.
If the big stone earrings are both put on the front of the card, they tend to rub together during shipping and scratch each other.
In the beginning we tried the fancy boxes. So much damage during shipment. The USPS is not jewelry friendly and it created a higher priced item that we just couldn't justify for our customers.
We carefully inspect every piece that goes out and protect them the best we can by double wrapping them in bubble wrap and securing them in a bubble envelope. Shipping damage now is nearly zero. It's such a bummer to get the jewelry you've been waiting on and it's been damaged during shipping. Not to say this is not going to happen on occasion, but we are diligently trying to protect our product as best we can, giving our customers a great experience.
